Atlanta Beltline Art 2026 Season Open Calls
Three pathways for Atlanta artists and residents: BPAAC, Arts & Culture Review Panel, and Pre-Qualified Artist Registry with Jan-Feb 2026 deadlines.
Atlanta Beltline Art, the public art program that has transformed Atlanta's trail system into one of the nation's largest outdoor galleries, has opened three distinct calls for participation for the 2026 exhibition season. These opportunities allow Atlanta residents and artists to engage in how public art is reviewed, selected, and commissioned along the Beltline's 22-mile loop affecting close to 45 neighborhoods.
The three pathways include: (1) Beltline Public Art Advisory Committee (BPAAC) - composed of artists and civic leaders who participate in panel discussions and inform programming direction; (2) Arts & Culture Review Panel - open to neighborhood residents to foster dialogue and engagement with the cultural sector; and (3) Pre-Qualified Public Art Artist Registry - a vetted pool of artists considered for future commissions. Artists working across sculpture, murals, dance, music, theater, photography, fashion, film, and other mediums are encouraged to apply.
Since 2010, Atlanta Beltline Art has presented hundreds of temporary artworks and live performances annually. The program recently secured renewed public funding: $25,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts, $32,000 from Fulton County Arts & Culture, and $5,000 from the Georgia Council for the Arts. According to Amina Cooper, Director of Arts & Culture at Atlanta Beltline, Inc., this investment directly benefits local artists and residents, with public art being central to the Beltline experience. The timing coincides with the completion of significant portions of the planned loop and anticipated increased visitors during FIFA World Cup activity in summer 2026.
