The Bayeux City Hall in Calvados, France announces the 16th edition of Urban Spaces, an annual celebration of urban culture scheduled for September 6, 2025. This festival offers graffiti artists the opportunity to showcase their creativity on dedicated walls at the city's skatepark on Boulevard d'Eindhoven. The event combines street art with extreme sports competitions including skate, BMX, and scooter contests, creating a vibrant cultural celebration. Registration for graffiti artists occurs on-site starting at 10 a.m., with competitions beginning at noon. The organization provides basic materials, though artists are encouraged to bring their own spray paints and accessories for personalized creations. Creative freedom is emphasized, allowing each work to reflect the artist's unique vision. The city hall plans to document all graffiti creations for social media promotion and future exhibitions, providing additional visibility for participating artists. This strategy has successfully helped local artists gain recognition beyond Bayeux in previous editions. The festival is free to attend and designed to be inclusive and community-oriented, attracting families, youth, and visitors from various regions. Musical performances by DJ Selecta Tracks and food vendors will enhance the cultural experience throughout the day.
