Bicentenary Open Art Exhibition - Goole

Goole Museum invites local artists to submit work for the town's 200th anniversary celebration exhibition running March-May.

Goole Museum is hosting the Bicentenary Open Art Exhibition as part of the town's 200th anniversary celebrations. This is an open call for entries from local and regional artists of all skill levels. The museum welcomes submissions across all subjects and mediums, including paintings, illustrations, textiles, sculptures, ceramics, and digital entries. While artists are encouraged to submit work that celebrates Goole's rich heritage, all subjects will be considered by the museum's panel of selectors. The exhibition runs from 21 March until 16 May, providing selected artists with an excellent opportunity to showcase their work in a professional gallery setting. Dr Alex Ombler, curator at Goole Museum, emphasizes that the museum is a friendly and welcoming place, particularly encouraging new entrants to participate. The temporary exhibitions gallery provides a great space not only to showcase work but also to sell pieces. Entry forms can be collected directly from the museum or downloaded online. This is a significant opportunity for artists to gain exhibition experience, potentially reach new audiences, and be part of a community celebration marking an important milestone for the town.
