The Next Picture Show in Dixon is hosting Blooming Fusion, a juried exhibition celebrating artistic interpretations of flowers, plants, and gardens. This exhibition runs from February 18 through March 28 and welcomes submissions from both local and non-local artists.
The exhibition is open to 2D artists working in watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media, pen and pencil, or charcoal. Photography submissions will not be accepted. Artists are evaluated solely based on the strength and relevance of their submitted artwork.
Entry fees are $35 for members and $50 for nonmembers, with each fee covering up to three submissions. The primary entry deadline is February 3, though late submissions may be considered if exhibition scheduling allows.
An artist reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on February 20, featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. This reception is open to both exhibiting artists and the general public, providing an excellent networking opportunity.
