Bobby Anspach Studios Foundation Artist Grant Program

Inaugural grant program awarding $50,000 and $8,000 grants to visual artists worldwide advancing empathy, connection, and environmental awareness.

The Bobby Anspach Studios Foundation has announced its inaugural grant program, an open call for proposals from visual artists worldwide. The initiative celebrates the vision of artist and designer Bobby Anspach, supporting artists whose practices expand empathy, nurture connection, and address ecological and social challenges. The 2025 program will award five unrestricted artist grants: two major grants of $50,000 each and three emerging artist grants of $8,000 each. All grants are unrestricted, allowing artists to determine how best to use the funds to advance their practice and professional growth. The foundation encourages applicants working across diverse media and career stages to apply. Eligible visual artists can work in any medium including painting, sculpture, installation, digital and new media, performance, social and community-based practice, and interdisciplinary projects. Artists at any career stage are eligible, including those working individually or collaboratively. International applicants are encouraged to apply. Projects may be based outside the United States but should demonstrate potential to be shared, exhibited, or experienced within the U.S. A key requirement is that selected projects must include a public-facing or community-engaged component. The foundation seeks proposals engaging environmental consciousness and climate awareness, human connection and empathy, or transformative and consciousness-raising practices. A distinguished interdisciplinary jury including architect Suchi Reddy, musician and composer Eluvium, and Adam M. Levine (Director and CEO of the Toledo Museum of Art) will evaluate proposals based on artistic vision, conceptual rigor, and social relevance.
