Call for Artists - Ridgefield Theater Barn
Open House for theatre-makers, filmmakers, comedians, and storytellers to explore creative opportunities and collaborate with RTB's artistic community.
The Ridgefield Theater Barn (RTB) invites theatre-makers, filmmakers, comedians, improvisers, and storytellers from across the region to a Call for Artists Open House on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 2–5 PM at 37 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, CT. This free event is designed as a welcoming entry point into the RTB artistic community.
The open house welcomes playwrights, stand-up comedians, improvisers, directors, filmmakers, and all creative professionals to learn about multiple ways to create, collaborate, and contribute at the Barn. Throughout the afternoon, attendees will explore RTB's current and upcoming programs, including:
- The rekindled Playwrights Collective, supporting new work development
- Stand-up comedy open mic nights
- The RTB resident improv troupe
- The upcoming season of plays and musicals, with opportunities for directors, designers, performers, and production staff
- RTB's partnership with the Ridgefield Independent Film Festival (RIFF), connecting filmmakers with exhibition, community, and collaboration opportunities
Participants will meet RTB's artistic leadership and program decision-makers, connect with peers across disciplines, and learn how to get involved—whether by pitching a project, joining a collective, staffing a production, or becoming part of RTB's broader creative ecosystem. Executive and Artistic Director Pamme Jones states: "This is about opening the doors. We want artists to know who we are, what we're building, and how they can be part of it—whether they're new to the Barn or returning after time away."
The event is informal, conversational, and free to attend. Artists at all stages of their careers are encouraged to come, ask questions, share ideas, and make connections.
