Call for Posters: 2026 NJ History Conference
Preservation NJ seeks student and emerging professional poster submissions for the 2026 NJ History & Historic Preservation Conference with monetary prizes.
Preservation New Jersey (PNJ) invites undergraduate students, graduate students, and emerging professionals (those who have graduated within the past two years) to submit proposals for the 2026 Student Poster Session at the 2026 NJ History & Historic Preservation Conference. This initiative aligns with PNJ's mission to advance historic preservation education and engage the next generation of preservation professionals.
The Poster Session provides an important platform to present project-based work in historic preservation, history, archaeology, architecture, planning, museum studies, and public history. By emphasizing creative, visual storytelling, the session encourages participants to share research where material culture, the built environment, and visual evidence play a central role.
Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three posters:
- First Place: $750
- Second Place: $500
- Third Place: $250
These awards recognize outstanding scholarship, creativity, and contributions to the fields of history and historic preservation, while encouraging continued involvement in preservation work. Proposals should demonstrate innovative research approaches and compelling visual presentations that engage viewers with historical material and preservation topics.
