Children's Festival of Art - Artist Volunteers Needed

Local artists sought to work alongside children at Imagine Nation's 4th annual Children's Festival of Art on November 14th.

Imagine Nation Museum and Early Learning Center in Bristol is seeking local artists to participate in their fourth annual Children's Festival of Art on November 14th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. This community event allows professional artists to work directly alongside children in various art mediums throughout the museum studios. Artists will set up stations where kids can create art pieces to take home. Confirmed mediums include oil painting, pottery, and print-making, with visiting artists from Southington Community Cultural Arts handling the print-making station. Additional mediums like collage art are welcome. Three returning artists - Karen Pac (atelierista and community education director), Emma Jepsen, and Jeff Reale - will be participating again this year. The event has grown successfully over its three previous years, attracting returning families and artists annually. Refreshments will be provided in the cafe during the event. The festival is supported by the Rotary Club of Bristol, The Barnes Foundation, and The Stocker Foundation, emphasizing the importance of arts education for children. This is an excellent opportunity for artists to engage with the community, share their skills with young creators, and contribute to arts education in a supportive, family-friendly environment.
