Citrus Heights Arts District Logo Design Call

Design opportunity for new arts district logo as part of community-driven creative development initiative.

The Citrus Heights City Council has unanimously approved the formation of an official Arts District along Auburn Boulevard from the Sylvan Community Center to the northern city limits. As part of this initiative, the city plans to launch a community call for artists to design a Citrus Heights Arts District logo. This represents an exciting opportunity for local artists to contribute to the city's cultural identity and help establish the visual branding for this new creative hub. The Arts District aims to encourage investment in local art, promote cultural tourism, and strengthen community partnerships. The city has been increasingly investing in arts programming, partnering with Citrus Heights Arts for events like the ArtBeat art and music Festival and supporting mural installations. Additional opportunities within the district will include a Public Bench Art Program where local businesses can host artist-designed benches. The city is taking an incremental, community-driven approach that blends art, design, and partnerships with ongoing revitalization efforts. Future funding may be available through existing city programs such as Community Projects Grants, History and Arts Grants, or Neighborhood Improvement Partnership Grants.
