Colección Tropicalia Open Call for Caribbean Artists
Open call for Caribbean artists to contribute works to a living collection at Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia.
Colección Tropicalia, a cultural initiative by sustainable luxury tourism destination Tropicalia, announces its first open call for artists and designers from the Caribbean and diaspora communities. Selected works will become part of the permanent collection and be displayed at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia. The initiative aims to celebrate Caribbean creativity and contribute to conversations about art, place, and memory across the region. Founded by Adriana Cisneros, CEO of Cisneros, the collection reflects her parents' legacy of art education and sustainable development in the Dominican Republic. The call seeks completed, wall-mountable pieces suitable for tropical conditions, made from durable materials like natural fibers, ceramics, wood, canvas, metal, glass, resin, textiles, and mixed media. Works must be part of a series or limited edition, with dimensions roughly between 50×50 cm and 100×175 cm, suitable for indoor or outdoor display. This opportunity supports Caribbean artistic practices while strengthening the region's cultural network. The collection is located in Miches on the southern coast of Samana Bay, creating a platform for artists to contribute to the cultural fabric of the Dominican Republic and Caribbean while providing exposure to international visitors at this luxury resort destination.
