Confetti: Tiny Vices and Virtues Group Show

Atelier gallery presents a group exhibition of 100 small artworks by 31 artists. Works under 10x10 inches exploring themes of vices and virtues.

Atelier, a contemporary art gallery, is presenting "Confetti: Tiny Vices and Virtues," a group exhibition running from November 6 through December 20, 2025. This exhibition features 100 diminutive works by 31 artists selected through a nationwide call for submissions.

The exhibition theme centers on the concept of confetti—small individual pieces that collectively create impact through volume, color, and movement. The call for submissions required all works to be under 10 by 10 inches and reflect this thematic concept.

The show encompasses diverse mediums including painting, drawing, macrophotography, collage, textile work, embroidery, embellished porcelain, wood and bronze sculpture. Works will be displayed salon-style, a dense floor-to-ceiling hanging method originating from 17th-century France that creates a cohesive wall-sized display.

Featured artists include New York-based Brazilian collage artist Edgard Barbosa (9 works), Austin-based artist Red Moth (12-panel mixed media installation), and California-based Briana Roy (9-panel figurative work). Local artists include Heidi Bailey, Vanessa Pohl, Brandon Luce, and Jonna Watson, whose crystallized ice macrophotographs capture water molecules exposed to sound waves from Christmas carols.

The subtitle "Tiny Vices and Virtues" is reflected throughout the exhibition, with works exploring both negative and positive human qualities. Gallery owner Sea Grandon notes that the smaller scale makes these works particularly accessible as holiday gifts while supporting living artists.

Purchased works will be available for pickup beginning December 17, allowing time for wrapping. The opening party is Thursday, November 6 from 6-9 p.m. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
