Coral Springs 250th Anniversary Sculpture Exhibit

Coral Springs invites artists to submit sculptures celebrating America's 250th anniversary. Up to four pieces will be displayed across city locations.

Coral Springs is seeking artists to submit sculptures for a yearlong exhibition celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This is a significant opportunity for artists to showcase their work while contributing to a community-wide celebration of American history and heritage.

Up to four sculptures will be selected for exhibition across multiple city locations, including Mullins Park, City Hall lawn, and Veterans Park. The selected pieces will be unveiled at the May 1 community concert in Coral Springs and will serve as key elements of the Fourth of July festivities at Mullins Park.

Each artist whose work is selected for the exhibit will receive $5,000 in compensation. The total project budget is $75,000, with an additional $55,000 allocated for the purchase of one piece or series for permanent installation at Veterans Park after the yearlong display concludes.

The artwork themes should celebrate the history and heritage of the United States of America while also reflecting the mission and core values of Coral Springs. Selected pieces must be installed by April 30, 2026, ahead of the May 1 unveiling.

According to the Public Art Committee, the exhibit will serve as a visual representation of not only the nation's collective history but also its goals for the future. This is an excellent opportunity for sculptors and artists working in three-dimensional media to gain visibility, receive compensation, and potentially have their work selected for permanent public display.
