Cultural & Artistic Projects Grant Macedonia

Up to 857,145 MKD funding for socially relevant artistic projects promoting diversity and community development in Macedonia.

The Heartefact grant program supports socially relevant and culturally enriching artistic and cultural projects in Macedonia. This initiative focuses on addressing critical social issues, fostering community development, and promoting diversity in artistic practices and expressions. The program particularly emphasizes direct engagement with audiences in smaller communities outside of Skopje, supporting the emergence of new voices and empowering citizens to use the independent cultural scene as a platform for expression and civic participation. Projects can receive up to 857,145 MKD for implementation over 12 months. The program integrates environmental sustainability, gender equality, social inclusion, diversity, and decentralization into all activities, with special emphasis on supporting youth, women, children, and other marginalized groups. Eligible applicants include cultural and artistic organizations, artistic collectives and initiatives, civil society organizations conducting cultural and artistic activities, and other legal entities active in arts and culture such as independent foundations, endowments, limited liability companies, and entrepreneurs. The initiative encourages platforms for diverse perspectives, meaningful social critique, dialogue, societal change, and amplifying marginalized voices through socially engaged cultural productions in local communities and regions.
