Juried figurative art exhibition seeking submissions exploring human figure in dialogue with space and story. Awards up to $2,100.

The Siren Scene is calling for submissions for Curious Figure 3, a juried figurative art exhibition with the theme 'Figure & Field: Interplay of Form, Space, and Story.' This exhibition provides an excellent opportunity for artists to showcase work exploring the human figure in meaningful dialogue with space and narrative elements.

The exhibition will run from April 1 through May 31, 2026, at the Co+Creative Centre. Artists must be 18 years or older and living in the United States to apply. The exhibition will be curated by Kat Knutsen and Joe Vaux, recognized experts in figurative art.

Submission Period: January 4-31, 2026

Awards and Recognition:
- Jurors' Choice Award: $2,100 honorarium plus two complimentary copies of the exhibition catalogue
- Excellence in Craft Award: $200 plus one complimentary copy of the exhibition catalogue
- Excellence in Concept Award: $200 plus one complimentary copy of the exhibition catalogue

A printed catalogue will accompany the exhibition, providing artists with professional documentation of their work and the overall exhibition.

This is an opportunity for artists working in any medium to engage with contemporary curatorial practices and receive recognition from respected jurors in the field. The focus on the relationship between figure, space, and story encourages conceptually rigorous and formally innovative approaches to figurative work.
