Dead Of Winter Exhibition & Art Sale
Call for artists for winter-themed exhibition at Frozen Dead Guy Days 2026 in Estes Park. All visual art mediums welcome.
Aspen & Evergreen Gallery is seeking artists for the Dead of Winter Art Exhibition and Frozen Dead Guy Days 2026 Art Sale taking place in March in Estes Park, Colorado. This inspired art exhibition celebrates creativity and community engagement through visual art. Artists working in all visual art mediums are invited to apply with work inspired by winter, folklore, dark humor, surrealism, and the playfully strange spirit of Frozen Dead Guy Days.
Selected artwork will be included in both the gallery exhibition and the festival art sale. Due to space limitations, not all submitted pieces may be displayed at the gallery simultaneously. The event timeline includes: Entry applications due February 15, artwork submission deadline February 27, gallery exhibition with People's Choice voting March 10-27, artist reception and awards night March 27 (evening), and the Frozen Dead Guy Days Art Sale on March 28 when work moves to the festival site for public sale.
Award categories are designed to be fun, celebratory, and inclusive, highlighting creativity rather than competition. Planned awards include: Best in Show, Most Frozen Dead Guy, Cold Dead and Beautiful, Best Use of Dark Humor, Best Weird/Most Unexpected, Honorable Mention, and People's Choice Award. Award categories may be adjusted based on submissions received.
The gallery welcomes playful, eerie, humorous, thoughtful, and unexpected interpretations of the winter and Frozen Dead Guy Days theme. Additional submission details and delivery instructions will be shared with applicants after the initial application period closes.
