Delfina Foundation Artist Residency - Ecuador

12-week fully funded residency in London for contemporary artists from Ecuador. Includes accommodation, travel, living allowance, and professional development.

Delfina Foundation is offering a fully funded 12-week artist residency during the summer 2026 season for contemporary artists currently living and working in Ecuador. This is an exceptional opportunity for artists seeking to develop their practice through international exposure and access to resources.

The residency provides comprehensive support including return economy-class flights, airport transfers in the UK, visa fee reimbursement if required, daily living allowance of £40, materials budget of £1,200, and local travel pass. Accommodation is provided in a single bedroom within the Delfina Foundation house, which hosts up to eight residents and features shared facilities including bathrooms, laundry, kitchen, library, and dining room.

The program includes structured activities designed to foster creative and professional growth. Residents will participate in presentations, studio visits, events, and shared meals with artists, curators, academics, and researchers. Professional development activities include portfolio reviews, crits, and mentoring sessions. Collaborative exchange is encouraged through informal gatherings and guided visits to museums, galleries, non-profits, artist-run spaces, and studios in and outside London.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be contemporary artists currently based in Ecuador, able to explain how an international residency will benefit their individual practice and local networks, and demonstrate proficiency in English for interviews and discussions. Applicants should be seeking opportunities to develop their practice through research and resource access.

The application process includes shortlisting in mid-December 2025 with online interviews, and final decisions by end of December 2025.
