Delfina Foundation Artists Residency Programme Turkey

Fully funded 6-week research residency in London for contemporary visual artists from Turkey. September-November 2026.

The Delfina Foundation is inviting applications from contemporary visual artists based in Turkey for a fully funded six-week research-focused residency in London during autumn 2026. This prestigious opportunity runs from 21 September to 1 November 2026 and is designed to support artistic development through dedicated research time, professional dialogue, and immersion in London's contemporary art ecosystem.

The residency provides a comprehensive support package including return economy-class flights, airport transfers, visa fee reimbursement, a daily living allowance of £40, a £500 materials budget, and London public transport passes. Accommodation is provided at Delfina Foundation's residency house, which offers private bedrooms and shared facilities including kitchens, libraries, and dining areas that foster collaborative exchange.

Participants will engage in a structured programme featuring guided visits to museums and galleries, engagements with cultural institutions, studio visits, presentations, and talks. The residency balances independent artistic practice with peer feedback, portfolio reviews, mentoring sessions, and interactions with curators, academics, and fellow artists from diverse disciplines.

Eligibility requires applicants to be Turkish nationals or currently living and working in Turkey, be proficient in English, and clearly articulate their artistic practice. Priority consideration is given to artists who have not previously lived in London or participated in London residency programmes. Applications close 11 January 2026, with shortlisting by 23 January, online interviews in late January, and final decisions by early February 2026.
