Delfina Foundation Residency for Latin American Artists

12-week autumn residency in London exploring space and spirituality. For contemporary visual artists from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Delfina Foundation is offering a prestigious twelve-week residency programme for contemporary visual artists based in Latin America and the Caribbean. This autumn residency season 2026 will run from 21 September to 13 December 2026, providing a unique opportunity to explore the relationship between space and spirituality through artistic practice.

The residency provides comprehensive support including guided visits to cultural institutions, interactions with other artists and professionals through events and studio visits, professional development sessions such as portfolio reviews and mentoring, and informal creative exchanges among residents.

Selected artists will receive a fully-funded package including return economy-class flight, airport transfers in the UK, visa fee reimbursement if required, a living allowance of £40 per day, a materials budget of £1,000, and a London public transport pass. Accommodation consists of a single bedroom with desk at Delfina Foundation, which houses up to eight residents and features shared facilities including bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchen, library, and dining room.

Eligible applicants must be contemporary visual artists currently living and working in Latin America or the Caribbean with demonstrated interest in exploring space and spirituality through previous projects. Applicants must be proficient in English for interviews and discussions. Preference is given to artists who have not previously participated in residency programmes in London. Applicants should demonstrate how this international experience will benefit both their individual practice and their local artistic networks.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance covering medical emergencies and personal possessions. The application deadline is 30 November 2025 at 23:59 GMT. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed online by end of December, with final results announced by mid-January 2026.
