Downtown Bend Mural Call for Artists

Create a large-scale public mural (17ft × 135ft) in downtown Bend. Themes include music, community, outdoor culture, and wellness.

Downtown Bend is seeking a talented artist or artist team to create a large-scale public mural on the side of Lift Fitness Studio at 514 NW Franklin Ave in Bend, Oregon. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute a bold, visually compelling piece of public art that reflects the heart and spirit of the community.

The mural will be approximately 17 feet high and 135 feet long, making it a significant public art installation. The project themes focus on music, community, outdoor culture, health, and wellness—all central to Bend's identity.

Downtown Bend is looking for artwork that is community-centered and welcoming, reflective of Bend's unique character, engaging and 'Instagrammable,' and warm, vibrant, and visually impactful. The successful design will become part of Downtown Bend's evolving public art landscape and serve as a meaningful backdrop for both locals and visitors.

The installation is targeted for Summer 2026, pending funding. This mural represents a significant opportunity for artists to make a lasting impact on the community through large-scale public art.

Artists or artist teams interested in submitting proposals should review the full details and submission requirements on the Downtown Bend Business Association website. The submission deadline is March 20, 2026, so interested artists should begin developing their concepts and preparing their proposals promptly.
