Downtown Plano Winter Street Banner Design Contest

Young artists ages 5-18 can win $100 and see their winter-themed artwork displayed on banners throughout Historic Downtown Plano.

The Downtown Plano Arts District is hosting its first-ever Street Banner Design Contest, inviting young artists to create original artwork inspired by the winter season in Downtown Plano. This exciting opportunity allows youth ages 5 to 18 who live within Plano ISD boundaries to showcase their creativity throughout the Historic Downtown area. Ten winners will be selected to have their artwork featured on banners displayed prominently in the district, and each winning artist will receive a $100 prize. The contest encourages bold, colorful designs with minimal white space in a vertical format. Digital submissions should be high-resolution, while physical artwork should be created on unlined paper or canvas. Artists can submit their 8x11 inch vertical artwork either digitally via email or by dropping off physical pieces at designated locations including Bibliobar, Ten 20 Art Gallery, or the Plano Municipal Center. All submissions must include the artist's name, age, and parent contact information. This contest provides an excellent platform for local youth to contribute to their community's visual landscape while gaining recognition for their artistic talents. Winners will be notified by November 24, giving families time to celebrate and plan to see their artwork displayed throughout the winter season.
