Fishers Arts Council Exhibition Calls 2026
Three exhibition opportunities in Fishers City Hall gallery for Feb-Apr 2026, plus paid musician positions. Open to Central Indiana artists 16+.
Fishers Arts Council is opening doors to artists with multiple exhibition opportunities at the Art Gallery in City Hall during February, March, and April 2026. These calls for art are open to individuals in Central Indiana and surrounding areas who are 16 years or older and meet the specific requirements of each exhibit theme.
February Exhibition - Embracing Black Culture: This exhibit features eighth-grade students from Fall Creek Junior High creating art based on W.E.B. Du Bois' concept of Double Consciousness, inspired by the artistic style of Everlyn Nicodemus. Community artists are invited to submit work either following the students' prompt or offering artwork that embraces black culture. The submission deadline has been extended to January 20, 2026.
March Exhibition - Disability Awareness: Continuing a partnership with the Fishers Advisory Committee on Disability since 2017, this annual exhibit welcomes artists who identify as having a disability. Both visual and performing artists are encouraged to submit work, as well as organizations supporting individuals with disabilities. Performing artists will have the opportunity to perform at the Second Friday reception on March 13. The application deadline is February 16, 2026.
April Exhibition - Spring Blooms with Poetry – Tiny Art: This new exhibit showcases 2D and 3D works no larger than 8" x 8" x 8" accompanied by poetry. Fishers Arts Council will print and frame accepted poems. Submissions should focus on the joy of art, nature, poetry, and beauty but can cover any topic appropriate for all ages. The deadline is March 16, 2026.
Additionally, musicians are needed for the 2026 Season of Art, which offers paid performance opportunities for solo, duet, and trio musicians in Fishers Arts Council gallery spaces and Gallery Hop partner locations. At least 28 performance opportunities are available throughout the season.
