Florida's History Shop Seeks Artists for Consignment

Florida's History Shop, the retail store for the Museum of Florida History, is seeking proposals from Florida-based artists to sell their Florida-themed artwork through consignment agreements. The opportunity is open to artists creating original pieces that evoke Florida's history, environment, wildlife, or utilize traditional skills learned in Florida. Accepted artwork types include textiles, paintings, jewelry, porcelain, and woodwork, though other mediums may be considered. The shop operates on a 60/40 payment split between the seller and Florida's History Shop, with artwork priced between $50-$500. Artists' work will be available for sale at physical locations in Tallahassee (Florida Historic Capitol Museum and The Capitol) as well as online at FloridasHistoryShop.com. Proceeds from sales support the education programs of the Museum of Florida History, Florida's official state history museum. This opportunity allows Florida artists to reach customers seeking unique, Florida-inspired merchandise while contributing to the preservation and education of the state's history.
