FPCC Individual Artists Program 2026-27

Grants up to $20,000 and scholarships up to $15,000 for B.C. First Nations artists. Supports artistic development and arts education.

The First Peoples' Cultural Council (FPCC) Individual Artists Program provides financial support to B.C. First Nations artists through two funding streams: Individual Artists Project Grants (up to $20,000) and Scholarships for Arts Education (up to $15,000). The program supports artistic development, community-based cultural work, and post-secondary or professional arts education. Project grants fund skill development, exploration of new techniques, portfolio expansion, exhibition preparation, and community-based artistic initiatives. The project period runs from March 5 to December 15, 2026. Scholarship funding supports semester-based academic studies, intensive arts training programs, and professional development directly related to creative practice. Applicants must be B.C. First Nations individuals aged 19 or older (17-18 with guardian signature for scholarships), have lived in British Columbia for at least one year, and demonstrate sustained commitment to artistic practice. Project grant applicants need two letters of support; scholarship applicants need one letter from recognized artists, cultural leaders, or Knowledge Holders. Required documentation includes artist background, detailed project description or education plan, workplan or learning goals, balanced budget, work samples, and required support letters. Applications must be submitted through the FPCC Grant Portal by March 5, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. PT. All approved projects must submit a final report to remain eligible for future funding.
