Franklin Square Gallery Spring Art Show
Call for artists for Spring Art Show featuring 2D and 3D original artwork with over $1,200 in prizes.
Southport's Franklin Square Gallery, in celebration of its reopening, is inviting artists throughout the lower Cape Fear region to submit original artwork for exhibition in the 2026 Spring Art Show. The Associated Artists of Southport (AAS) is organizing this exhibition to showcase diverse artistic talent in the community.
The Spring Art Show will run from February 16 to March 14, 2026, and will feature original 2D work in a wide variety of media and styles, as well as original 3D work in the form of pottery and sculpture. All artwork will be offered for sale to the public, providing artists with a sales opportunity.
Exhibiting artists will compete for over $1,200 in prizes, which will be awarded by professional judges Sharon DiGiulio (2D category) and Joe DiGiulio (3D category), owners of DiGiulio Studios, a professional art studio in Raleigh.
A reception and awards ceremony will be held at Franklin Square Gallery on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend, meet the artists, and enjoy complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres.
Additionally, Sharon and Joe DiGiulio will offer a two-day Acrylic and Collage Workshop at the Gallery on Sunday and Monday, February 15 and 16, providing professional development opportunities for interested artists.
