Future Generation Art Prize 2026 Open Call

Applications are open for the Future Generation Art Prize, an international competition that recognizes and supports outstanding emerging artists aged 35 and under from around the world. Created by the PinchukArtCentre, the prize provides significant financial support, international recognition, and career development for young artists working across all forms of contemporary art. The application deadline is June 28, 2026.

The prize is open to artists regardless of nationality, gender, race, cultural background, or artistic medium, and combines an open application process with nominations from an international network of around 300 curators, artists, critics, and academic tutors. Artists working in any medium may apply, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, performance, digital art, mixed media, and interdisciplinary practices.

One selected artist will receive a total award of US$100,000, comprising a US$60,000 cash prize and US$40,000 invested in the artist's practice. In addition, up to five special prizes may be awarded, totaling US$20,000 to support artistic development. Artists may apply multiple times provided they continue to meet the age requirement and have not previously won. Strong applications demonstrate a distinctive artistic vision, originality, a consistent practice, and a well-presented portfolio. Applications are submitted through the online open call and reviewed alongside expert nominations before final selection.
