Gasworks Palestinian Residency for Artists

Self-led artist residency in London for Palestinian artists to develop new work, expand networks, and gain international exposure.

The Gasworks Palestinian Residency Patrons Circle is a dynamic artist residency program designed to support professional development, cultural exchange, and artistic experimentation for Palestinian visual artists. Based in London, United Kingdom, the program offers up to twenty residencies annually with a self-led, non-prescriptive, and process-based structure. Residents receive administrative, pastoral, and curatorial guidance to facilitate research, production, and professional development. The residency provides Palestinian artists with a platform to develop new artistic work in an international context, opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration, access to mentorship and curatorial guidance, networking opportunities within London's vibrant art scene, and increased visibility and international exposure for their practice. Eligible candidates must be Palestinian visual artists at emerging or mid-career stages, demonstrate moderate spoken English proficiency and ability to discuss work in English, and obtain necessary visa documentation. Prior residency experience is not required. The residency duration is determined by individual selection and program scheduling. Support includes administrative, pastoral, and curatorial assistance. Artists are encouraged to engage with London's local art community and develop meaningful connections within the global art community. The application process requires submission of a portfolio and supporting materials demonstrating artistic practice and potential for growth. Selection is based on artistic merit, motivation, and alignment with residency objectives.
