Giant Runt 2026 Juried Group Exhibition

Fort Worth artist-run gallery seeks submissions for juried group show. Winner receives $500 prize and 2027 solo exhibition.

Giant Runt, an artist-run gallery in Fort Worth, has announced an open call for a 2026 juried exhibition. This represents the first time the gallery, which opened in fall 2024, has initiated a juried show. One artist will be selected from among applicants to receive a $500 prize and a solo exhibition at the gallery in 2027.

The open call has no geographical restrictions, and artists in all media are eligible to apply. The sole stipulation is that artworks must fit through a standard seven-by-three-foot door. Artists selected for the exhibition will be responsible for transporting their work to and from the gallery.

The juried exhibition is slated to run from Monday, February 23, through Saturday, April 11, 2026, though those dates could change. The exhibition will be juried by Cosmo Jones and Max Marshall, the co-owners of Giant Runt.

According to co-owner Cosmo Jones, the goal is "to provide an opportunity for a good group show with a good prize incentive," noting that such opportunities "seem to be shorter in supply in [Dallas/Fort Worth] than they used to be." The show will also offer the gallery the chance to discover new talent. Giant Runt has previously focused on solo exhibitions featuring North Texas and regional artists.

Applications are due Thursday, January 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST. Selected artists will be notified by Sunday, February 8, 2026.
