Gilbert Alley Gallery Door Art Project

Public art installation opportunities on doors throughout Gilbert's Heritage District downtown area.

The Alley Gallery is an ongoing public art initiative in Gilbert, Arizona's Heritage District that places artwork on doors in prominent downtown locations. This project aims to enhance and beautify Gilbert's corridors and pathways that experience heavy pedestrian traffic and visitation. The program features rotating installations of new artworks displayed from the north end of downtown at Heritage Marketplace all the way to the south end of the district. Artists are selected through a call for artists process, with submissions reviewed and scored by a selection committee comprised of area leaders, business owners, and Town staff. The project represents Gilbert's commitment to integrating public art into the urban landscape and providing exposure opportunities for artists. Six new works were recently installed as part of the current cycle, demonstrating the program's active and ongoing nature. This initiative offers artists a unique platform to showcase their work in high-visibility public spaces while contributing to the cultural vibrancy of Gilbert's downtown district.
