Give To Gain: Women Artists Billboard Exhibition
Celebrate women artists through public billboard displays during International Women's Day 2026 in London, UK.
Give To Gain is an initiative celebrating and elevating women artists through opportunity and visibility, aligned with International Women's Day's mission to support women creatives. In partnership with Creative Flair and Women in Art communities, this program provides women artists with significant exposure and recognition in public spaces.
The initiative features winning artworks displayed on digital billboards throughout London during the IWD period, positioning women's art in high-traffic cultural hub areas. Selected pieces appear multiple times per hour on digital screens along major routes, transforming commercial environments into spaces of celebration, reflection, and representation.
The 2026 program invited an open call for women to submit creative works exploring themes of empowerment, identity, resilience, and creative voice. Five winning artists were selected by Women in Art judges to have their work featured on billboards across London's busiest areas, including Kings Cross and Shoreditch.
Past winners include Rachel Deacon (figurative and abstract painter), Cecilia Lamptey-Botchway (contemporary African mixed media artist), and Barbara Boekelman (large-scale layered painter). These artists received substantial public visibility with their works displayed prominently throughout central London.
This opportunity provides women artists with commercial exposure, professional recognition, and the chance to have their narratives and voices represented in public space. The initiative demonstrates commitment to advancing women's visibility and representation in the arts while creating a collective moment of celebration across London's cultural landscape.
