Guernsey Short Story Anthology Cover Design Competition
Local artists invited to design cover for Time & Tide anthology celebrating Bailiwick writers, published 2026.
The Guernsey Literary Festival and Art for Guernsey are inviting local artists to submit cover designs for 'Time & Tide', the Guernsey Short Story Anthology scheduled for publication in 2026. This exciting competition welcomes artwork of any medium inspired by the anthology's theme of Time & Tide - stories shaped by personal memories, imagined futures, and the rhythms of island life. The anthology celebrates writers with a connection to the Bailiwick and will be published by Blue Ormer. The finished publication will be launched at the Guernsey Literary Festival, running from April 24 to May 3, 2026. This collaboration between the Literary Festival and Art for Guernsey aims to bring visual art and storytelling together, reflecting the creativity of the islands. The project is made possible through sponsorship by Sarnia Hotels and partnerships with Art for Guernsey, Blue Ormer, and U&US. This represents the Festival's first anthology publication, marking an exciting new chapter in showcasing local stories and perspectives in a beautifully published collection. The competition provides an excellent opportunity for local artists to have their work featured on a significant literary publication that will celebrate the unique culture and creative spirit of Guernsey.
