Helen Dangar Memorial Art Bursary 2025
NERAM offers $3500 bursary to New England artists for professional development, workshops, residencies, and conferences.
The New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM) is pleased to announce the 2025 Helen Dangar Memorial Art Bursary, a $3500 award designed to support artists from the New England region in advancing their creative practice and professional development.
This bursary is open to artists at all career stages who wish to improve their skills, learn new techniques, or broaden their artistic horizons. The funds can be used to support a range of professional and creative development opportunities, including:
- Workshops and masterclasses
- Artist residencies
- National and international conferences
- Professional development courses
- Other creative learning opportunities
Over the seven years that the Helen Dangar Memorial Bursary has been presented at NERAM, New England artists have received vital support to travel nationally and internationally to engage in creative development. Past recipients have used their bursaries to attend major conferences, participate in residencies, and develop their artistic practice. These opportunities have resulted in artists creating new work, developing professional and creative skills, presenting exhibitions, facilitating workshops, and establishing valuable professional networks and collaborations.
NERAM Director Rachael Parsons encourages all artists to apply: "Look at upcoming opportunities that will have an impact on your practice and just go for it. Whatever stage of your arts career you are in, this bursary could be transformative for your development as an artist."
The application process is straightforward, and artists are encouraged to think about their artistic goals and identify opportunities that will genuinely advance their practice.
