Herberger Theater Artist Call: Avian & Grand Canyon Exhibits

Herberger Theater in Phoenix invites Arizona artists to submit work for upcoming avian and Grand Canyon exhibits. Deadline January 16, 2026.

The Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix is calling for Arizona artists to apply for two upcoming exhibitions: an Avian Exhibit and a Grand Canyon Exhibit.

For the Avian Exhibit, the theater invites artists to explore the rich and diverse world of birds through visual art. According to the theater, birds have long been symbols of beauty, freedom, fragility, and power. Artists are encouraged to submit work that captures the essence of avian life in all its forms, whether through literal depictions, abstract interpretations, or symbolic representations.

The Grand Canyon Exhibit aims to celebrate the National Park's ever-changing landscape. The theater is seeking artists' interpretations of the majestic Grand Canyon, welcoming submissions ranging from realism to impressionism to abstract styles. The theater also hopes to bring awareness to the recent wildfires that devastated the North Rim through this exhibition.

Both exhibitions will be on display at the Herberger Theater Center from April 3 through May 31, 2026. The exhibits will be curated by Connie and A.O. Tucker.

This is an excellent opportunity for Arizona-based visual artists to gain exhibition space in a prominent downtown Phoenix cultural venue. The curated nature of the exhibitions suggests careful selection and professional presentation of selected works.
