The Salina Art Center is seeking 15 visionary artists or designers to create one-of-a-kind couture looks for their annual fashion show gala, reimagined as 'In Bloom: A Garden Gala.' This runway event celebrates Monet's water lilies, garden blooms, and Bridgerton-era romance with whimsy, elegance, and theatrical flair. Selected artists receive a $300 stipend for materials, one night hotel stay on January 31, 2026, pre-show meal, and admission to the after party. Designs must align with the 'Garden Party' theme, incorporating floral drama, Regency elegance, or Impressionist fantasy. Artists are encouraged to use unexpected or non-conventional materials. Voting takes place online and during the gala, with every $1 donation counting as one vote. The winning design receives $1,000, and top five designs will be exhibited at Salina Art Center from February 11 - March 30, 2026. All funds raised support the center's exhibitions, education programs, and community events.
