In Plain Sight: 1st Annual Online Juried Competition
Greenwich Art Society's inaugural online juried art competition exploring overlooked visibility. Open to all artists, digital entry required.
The Greenwich Art Society is proud to announce their 1st 'In Plain Sight' Online Art Competition for 2026. This prestigious juried exhibition explores what is visible yet overlooked—objects, systems, gestures, or conditions that exist openly but escape notice through familiarity, proximity, or normalization. Artists are invited to consider the tension between what is seen and what is truly perceived, creating work that challenges viewers to look beyond the ordinary.
This digital competition is open to all artists, including both members and non-members of the Greenwich Art Society. The opportunity welcomes diverse artistic mediums and perspectives that engage with the theme of hidden visibility in plain sight.
Submission Guidelines:
- Digital entry format required
- Works must not have been previously accepted for Greenwich Art Society juried exhibitions
- Works must not have been exhibited in the Bendheim or G.A.S. Galleries
- All works must be for sale; if a portrait, pricing based on similar commissions must be stated
- No Prints on Request (PORs) accepted
- Entry fee: $995
The Greenwich Art Society will produce an online digital catalog featuring all accepted works. All exhibited pieces will be showcased on the organization's social media platforms, providing significant exposure for selected artists. Cash prizes will be awarded to winning entries.
The exhibition dates are February 19-21, 2026, with the submission deadline of February 19, 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for artists to gain recognition, build their portfolio, and connect with the Greenwich art community and beyond through digital platforms.
