International Pancake Day Art Show 2026
Local artists invited to create themed artwork celebrating pancake day traditions for exhibition at Seward County Activity Center.
The International Pancake Day Art Show 2026 invites artists of all ages to participate in this unique exhibition celebrating the beloved Pancake Day festivities in Liberal, Kansas. This year's theme, 'Stacks of Tradition, Flipping into the Future,' challenges artists to honor the rich history of the event while envisioning its future.
The exhibition will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Seward County Activity Center during the annual Pancake Day Breakfast, offering artists significant exposure to community members and visitors attending this popular local tradition.
Artists compete within five age-specific divisions: Primary (ages 5-7), Elementary (ages 8-10), Intermediate (ages 11-13), Teen (ages 14-17), and Adult (ages 18+). This structure ensures fair competition and encourages participation from young emerging artists to established adult creators.
All submissions must be original works that are school-appropriate and follow the official theme. Each piece requires a completed entry form and must have the artist's name and competition division clearly labeled on the back of the work.
Artwork must be delivered to Heritage Real Estate by the February 6, 2026 deadline. This community-focused event provides an excellent opportunity for local artists to showcase their creativity, connect with fellow creators, and contribute to a cherished regional celebration. Whether you're a young artist just starting out or an experienced adult creator, this art show offers a welcoming platform to display your interpretation of pancake day traditions and the future of this beloved community event.
