Kingston City Hall Art Exhibit: 250 Years of American Voices
Call for local artists to submit work for special exhibit at Kingston City Hall celebrating 250 years of American cultural history.
The City of Kingston's Department of Arts and Cultural Affairs is seeking artwork for a special exhibition titled '250 Years of American Voices, Stories, and Histories.' The exhibit will be displayed at City Hall from December 6, 2025, through September 25, 2026, in the ground floor gallery space. This exhibition aims to bring together and celebrate the country's 250-year cultural history through art. Local artists are invited to submit artwork that fits with the theme, and there will also be a special section dedicated to artwork from local youth organizations. All submitted works will be reviewed by a panel consisting of members of the Kingston Arts Commission and its Public Art Committee, the City of Kingston Staff Public Art Committee, and members of the greater Kingston Community. Accepted artists will be notified by October 24, 2025, and selected artwork must be delivered to City Hall by November 14, 2025. The exhibition will open with a public reception on December 6, 2025, from 2 PM to 6 PM. This is an excellent opportunity for Hudson Valley artists to showcase their work in a prominent civic location and contribute to a meaningful cultural celebration.
