KRBD's 50th Birthday Logo Contest
Design a commemorative logo for KRBD Community Radio's 50th anniversary celebration. $500 prize plus merchandise.
KRBD Community Radio is hosting an open call for artists to submit original designs for their 50th Birthday Party celebration. The event will take place on May 23, 2026, at the Ted Ferry Civic Center in Ketchikan, Alaska, featuring live day performances and an evening dance party.
The selected design will be featured prominently in event publicity materials and printed on commemorative merchandise. This is an excellent opportunity for local and regional artists to contribute to a significant community milestone.
All mediums are accepted, but submissions must be camera-ready for reproduction on t-shirts and print materials. Digital files are preferred, particularly scalable vector formats (EPS or PDF), though high-resolution JPGs are also acceptable. Physical artwork can be submitted in person.
Designs must include specific required text: 'KRBD Community Radio,' '2026,' '50 years,' and 'Ketchikan, Alaska.' The work must be original, previously unpublished, and cannot incorporate AI-generated elements, stock images, or third-party trademarks.
A diverse community selection committee will review all eligible entries and choose one winning design. The prize includes a $500 honorarium, KRBD merchandise, and credit on KRBD channels and event materials. KRBD will retain copyright to the winning design.
