MadeSC Residencies: National Call for Artists

Three unique artist residencies on the Sunshine Coast offering time, space, support and up to $5,000 stipend for Australian artists.

The MadeSC Residency Program 2026 is a bespoke initiative delivered by Sunshine Coast Council in partnership with independent spaces and businesses. This national program invites artists from across Australia to participate in three unique residencies designed to provide time, space, and support for developing new ideas in dialogue with the region.

Three distinct residency sites are available:

1. Falls Farm, Mapleton - A residential residency set within a working permaculture farm, ideal for artists exploring regenerative practices, environment, and science.

2. LJProjects, Nambour - A dedicated month-long residency in a purpose-built dance studio, suitable for dance, theatre, and interdisciplinary performance artists.

3. Lantana Space, Moffat Beach - A studio residency embedded in a regional artist-run initiative, supporting experimentation, dialogue, and risk-taking.

Residencies will be delivered between March and May 2026. Each residency includes an artist stipend of up to $5,000, access to industry peers for mentoring or producer support, dedicated studio or residency space, ongoing producer support, and a facilitated work-in-progress showing.

This program is designed for artists seeking immersive practice opportunities and meaningful engagement with a vibrant regional arts community. Participants will have access to professional development through industry peers and producer support throughout their residency.
