Mardi Gras 2026 Art Showcase - Open Call

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) are launching an open call for artists across Northwest Louisiana to create original works celebrating the spirit of Mardi Gras and the casino's upcoming one-year anniversary. This is an excellent opportunity for regional artists to gain exposure and recognition for their work.

At least 10 artists from Region 7 parishes will be selected to participate in this prestigious showcase. Each selected artist will receive a $1,000 purchase award for their work. The chosen artworks will be prominently displayed at the $270 million Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana entertainment destination during the 2026 Mardi Gras season. Following the exhibition, all selected works will be donated to SRAC's Christmas in the Sky auction, which supports free public access to the arts throughout the region.

This partnership between Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana and SRAC represents a significant commitment to elevating and celebrating the arts in Northwest Louisiana. Artists are invited to submit either 2D or 3D original works through SRAC's online Submittable portal. The submission deadline is 5 p.m. on November 30, 2025. Selected artists will be notified beginning December 23, 2025, and final artwork must be submitted by January 9, 2026. This timeline allows selected artists adequate time to prepare their pieces for the Mardi Gras 2026 exhibition.
