Midwinter Dreams: Art and Poetry Exhibition
Collaborative art and poetry exhibition blending visual art with verse. Open call for artists and poets through Feb. 3.
Midwinter Dreams is a collaborative art and poetry exhibition hosted by the Westport Art Group (WAG) in February 2026. This unique event blends visual art and poetry, featuring works by WAG artists and members of the WAG Poetry Group who collaborate on paired creations. The exhibition explores the themes of midwinter and dreams, with submissions that may be inspired by poetry or visual art, depending on the creative process.
The exhibition runs from February 13-22, 2026, with gallery hours on Fridays through Sundays. An opening reception is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., where artists and poets will discuss their inspiration and creative processes. A second discussion session follows on Sunday, February 22, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Admission to all events is free and open to the public.
A call for artists remains open to both WAG members and nonmembers through February 3, 2026. Artists and poets are invited to submit work that explores midwinter or dreams themes, with or without a poetry pairing. This is an excellent opportunity for visual artists and poets to collaborate, showcase their work, and engage with the community in a supportive, creative environment.
