Multidisciplinary Actors & Circus Artists
Swedish theater company seeking skilled multidisciplinary actors and acrobats for original comedy production in summer 2026.
Forsviks Bruksteater, a professional Swedish theater company, is conducting an open call for multidisciplinary circus artists and acrobats who are also actors, or actors with acrobatic skills. The opportunity is for a new original comedy play titled "Murder at the Red Mill totally doesn't shit." Rehearsals begin June 22, 2026, with performances running July through August 2026 at the theater's location in Forsvik, Sweden. The production is a professional contemporary physical theater piece based on a newly written script, with music and choreography designed around each participant's specific skills. The show explores humorous themes of life in a small Swedish community, including social structures, historical elements from the 1930s-1940s, family dynamics, and what it means to stand out while conforming to rural mentality. The comedy centers on a murder investigation at Red Mill housing, where secrets and forbidden relationships emerge. Candidates must be Swedish-speaking, have professional theatrical education, demonstrate strong stage presence and interpretation skills, and possess the ability to perform multiple roles. The company seeks artists of all ages (23+) with clear personalities, strong technique, and excellent cooperation skills. Participants will work in a professional summer production with guaranteed minimum of 11 performances and maximum of 20 performances. Compensation is negotiated based on agreement for both rehearsal time and per performance. Accommodation and travel expenses are paid.
