Mural Artist Opportunities in Nashville & Clarksville

Two art initiatives seek local muralists for East Nashville restaurant and Clarksville parking garage public gallery projects.

Multiple Middle Tennessee communities are launching exciting art initiatives that invite local artists to contribute their creative vision to public spaces.

In East Nashville, Party Fowl restaurant is seeking a local muralist for their first location in the neighborhood. The restaurant envisions a bold, irreverent, and highly visual mural that reflects the creativity and character of East Nashville while aligning with the restaurant's principles. Rather than replicating existing neighborhood aesthetics, Party Fowl aims to collaborate authentically with the artistic community. The selected artist will have the opportunity to paint two canvases: a 6' x 15' back fence and a 6' x 6' interior wall. This is an ideal opportunity for artists who understand East Nashville's strong artistic identity and can create work that stands out while respectfully engaging with the neighborhood's culture.

In Clarksville, the city is hosting the Concrete 'N Color mural contest, a new art initiative that transforms the First Street Parking Garage into a public gallery. Sixteen murals will be created throughout the stairwells of this unique space. This project provides an excellent platform for artists to showcase their work in a high-visibility location. The city will provide all paint and basic supplies, reducing barriers to participation.

Both opportunities welcome artists of varying experience levels and offer meaningful ways to contribute to their communities' public art landscape.
