Open call for young visual artists to create music-inspired posters for the 10th edition of appointMENT, a celebrated music-art poster exhibition.
appointMENT 10 is an open call for visual artists to participate in the tenth edition of a unique music-art poster exhibition project. Launched in 2016, the appointMENT project aims to revive and explore the form of music-art posters while expanding the visual programme of the MENT festival. Each year, selected artists are assigned one of the musical performers of the festival, with their music serving as the main source of inspiration for creating original posters.
This year's edition will focus on closer collaboration between selected artists and musicians. The exhibition will showcase a collection of limited-edition music and art posters produced using selected techniques. Artists will create digital versions of their posters, with professional printing handled by DobraVaga gallery. The exhibition opens on 3 February 2026.
Eligibility is open to young visual artists up to 40 years old who reside and/or work in Slovenia. Selected participants will receive a full festival ticket for MENT as compensation for their work. The application process requires submission of an art portfolio demonstrating current artistic practice, a short CV with contact information and exhibition history, and links to online portfolios or social media profiles featuring collected works. All submissions must be in PDF format with specific naming conventions.
Selected participants must complete their posters by the end of December 2025. Applicants will be notified of results by email on 12 December 2025.
