Metro Arts is seeking artists for a significant public art commission at the Nashville Youth Campus Empowerment project. This competitive opportunity involves creating a wall-mounted sculpture for a 1,300 square foot wall space, with a budget of approximately $400,000.
Project Details:
- Wall-mounted artwork (may protrude up to 2 feet)
- Approximately 1,300 square feet in size

- Location: Nashville Youth Campus
- Not permitted: suspended ceiling installations due to building systems (sprinklers)
Application Requirements:
- Demonstrate relevant experience with similar projects
- Optional: examples of solar or low-energy solutions
- Kinetic work should not be dependent on electricity
- Selection panels will evaluate technical feasibility and experience
Key Timeline:
- Application deadline: Monday, June 23, 2025
- Selection work begins: July 2025

- Project completion: within specified schedule constraints
Contract Terms:
- Insurance and maintenance manual required
- Payment follows contract milestones
