Native American Art Exhibit: Call for Artists
NWFA invites Native American artists to participate in November exhibit featuring beading, painting, weaving, sculpture, baskets, and pottery.
Northwoods Friends of the Arts (NWFA) is seeking Native American artists and art owners to participate in their upcoming Native American Art exhibit running from November 6-29, 2025, at their gallery located at 210 S. River St., Cook, Minnesota. The organization welcomes a diverse range of traditional and contemporary Native American artwork including beading, painting, weaving, sculpture, birch bark baskets, and pottery. Artists and art owners who wish to share their work with the public are encouraged to participate in this celebration of Native American artistic traditions. The exhibit will kick off with a public reception on Friday, November 7 from 5-7 p.m. to honor the participating artists and their work. The following day features 'Fall into Christmas' shopping with extended gallery hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. NWFA Gallery operates as a non-profit arts organization dedicated to inspiring, nurturing and celebrating the arts while serving the Cook, Minnesota community year-round. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., though they close on Wednesdays from November through April. This opportunity provides Native American artists with a platform to showcase their cultural heritage and artistic skills to the broader community.
