Nature's Way Solo Exhibit - Textile Art Display

Solo textile art exhibition by Lynn Roberts featuring nature-inspired weaving designs displayed at Marco Island City Hall through February 2026.

Art @ City Hall is showcasing textile artist Lynn Roberts' solo exhibition titled "Nature's Way," which features handwoven fiber art inspired by natural landscapes, wildlife, and flora. Roberts is a self-taught artist and retired registered nurse who discovered her artistic passion through weaving. Her work emphasizes color, texture, and nature-inspired designs including birds (crows, ravens, cardinals, woodpeckers, sparrows, pelicans, puffins, and owls), landscapes, animals, and flowers. Roberts uses a lap loom that her husband made, allowing her to travel and create art while exploring various regions including Pennsylvania, Florida, Wyoming, and the Grand Tetons. Her unique approach incorporates upcycling yarn and integrates natural materials like driftwood, feathers, pebbles, acorns, shells, and sea glass into mixed medium designs. The exhibition showcases her textile, fiber, and tapestry art across various formats. Roberts has previously exhibited in Pennsylvania galleries and has been a frequent contributor to Art @ City Hall for several years. The program, launched in August 2020, features quarterly rotating exhibitions with themes aligned to Marco Island's natural environment. All artwork is available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the exhibiting artist. Roberts also accepts commissioned pieces and is motivated to create custom designs collaborating with buyers.
