Open Call Audition for Male/Diverse Dancers

Tanzensemble Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern seeks exceptional male/diverse dancers with strong ballet and contemporary techniques for 2026/27 season.

Tanzensemble Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, under the artistic direction of Luisa Sancho Escanero, is holding an open call audition for male and diverse dancers for the 2026/27 season. The audition will take place on January 31st, 2026, in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

The Tanzensemble operates as a contemporary ballet company since summer 2022, presenting a rich and diverse artistic program featuring contemporary creations and world premieres by internationally renowned choreographers. The company has worked with distinguished artists including Iván Pérez, Alan Lucien Øyen, Roni Chadash, Alba Castillo, Bryan Arias, Helge Letonja, Talia Beck, Pau Arán, Nitsan Margaliot, Daniel Proietto, and Jone San Martín.

The company seeks exceptional artists with solid classical ballet and contemporary dance techniques, combined with strong partnering skills. A minimum of 3 years of professional dance experience is required. Ideal candidates demonstrate openness, creativity, and sensitivity toward intellectual, physical, and artistic challenges. The ensemble offers a positive working environment with a strong collaborative team.

Applicants must submit materials via email by January 10th, 2026. Required documentation includes a single PDF file (maximum 9 MB) containing a CV and links to video content showcasing: a show reel, performance footage, and a video demonstrating improvisation and/or theatrical skills. Successful applicants will be invited to audition; the audition is by invitation only. Dancers should be available for the full day, with schedules provided upon invitation. All application and audition costs are non-reimbursable.
