Open Call: Co-Creation
Swiss-based artistic cooperation opportunity supported by Pro Helvetia for artist pairs from Switzerland and liaison office regions.
Pro Helvetia is launching an open call for co-creation projects involving artistic partnerships between Switzerland and regions covered by Pro Helvetia liaison offices. This opportunity supports artistic projects in any discipline that result from equal collaboration between two artist partners.
The program seeks to formalize and support existing artistic collaborations that were initiated through residencies, research trips, or previous joint projects. The initiative encourages cross-cultural artistic exchange and sustained creative partnerships across geographical boundaries.
Eligible applicants must be two artist partners (individuals, duos, or collectives) with established connections. One partner must be a Swiss citizen or permanent resident with a regular artistic presence at relevant Swiss events. The other partner must be artistically active in a region covered by a Pro Helvetia liaison office. At least one partner should have completed a research trip or residency in the other partner's region, or references to previous joint projects must be provided.
Applications must be created jointly by both partners and demonstrate the collaborative nature of the proposed work. The co-creation process can begin no earlier than October 1st and must be completed within 18 months from the start date. This structured timeline ensures meaningful project development while maintaining realistic completion expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for artists seeking institutional support for established collaborative practices and looking to deepen their international artistic partnerships through a structured funding mechanism.
