Ottawa Miniature Gallery Exhibition at OAG Shop
Display miniature art in the Ottawa Art Gallery gift shop. A portable gallery showcasing small-scale works by local artists through January 30.
The Ottawa Miniature Gallery (OMG) is hosting an exhibition at the Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) Shop, featuring miniature artworks from dozens of local artists. This is a curated show of small-scale art including ceramics, paintings, paper works, and polymer clay creations. The exhibition runs from December 5, 2025 through January 30, 2026.
Curator Kiana Simmons, who recently took over the OMG project from founder Jennifer Anne Kelly, has been accepting submissions from artists interested in showcasing their miniature works. The gallery is a portable three-storey structure that displays tiny art pieces in public spaces around Ottawa.
This opportunity is ideal for artists working in miniature mediums such as ceramics, clay sculpture, painting, and mixed media. The OAG Shop specifically aims to showcase local creators, and miniatures have proven to be popular with visitors and ideal as holiday gifts.
Notable participating artists include Selen Kaplan, a Turkish-Canadian ceramicist who creates miniature pottery and glow-in-the-dark vases, and Kiana Simmons, who specializes in miniature vegetables and detailed polymer clay pieces.
The exhibition provides exposure for local miniature artists and an opportunity to sell work during the holiday season. The OAG Shop is located at a prominent venue (50 Mackenzie King Bridge, Ottawa), ensuring good foot traffic and visibility.
