Parish Lines: Juried Group Exhibition
Northeast Louisiana Arts Council seeks up to 36 artists from Region 8 for Parish Lines, a juried group exhibition showcasing regional creative identity.
The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council is seeking Region 8 artists to participate in Parish Lines, an innovative juried group exhibition designed to create a visual map of people's experiences across Northeast Louisiana. This exhibition will showcase the work of up to 36 different artists, with the goal of representing three artists from each parish in the region.
The exhibition aims to celebrate the creative identity of Northeast Louisiana by displaying diverse artistic perspectives. As stated by Abigail Handy-Garcia, Grants & Development Officer for the Arts Council: "Every line tells a story. Each artist reflects their own place - both literally and emotionally - through their work. Together, they reveal the creative identity of our region."
The exhibition will run from June 1 through July 10, 2026, at 118 Cotton Street in West Monroe, Louisiana. A public reception is scheduled for June 4th, 2026, providing an opportunity for artists and the community to gather and celebrate the selected works.
The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council serves 12 parishes including Union, Jackson, Lincoln, Ouachita, Morehouse, West Carroll, East Carroll, Madison, Tensas, Franklin, Richland, and Caldwell Parishes. The organization nurtures a vibrant regional arts culture through support, promotion, and education, striving to be a transformative force for the community by encouraging passion for the arts and ensuring access for all.
